The Kunstpalast opens its doors late in the evening, but the lights stay off! After opening hours, our tour exploring the artworks of Winfred Gaul begins. The artist from Düsseldorf experimented with a variety of different painting techniques: He wiped with cloths, painted with his fingers, and applied a thick layer of paint on the canvases. Can you make out the patterns in the light from your flashlights? We discover 120colourful artworks full of geometrical figures, shapes, and lines – because in the dark, art reveals a whole new side of itself.

You can bring your own flashlights or borrow them on site.
