The Kunstpalast invites you and your babies to the exhibition ” Women Artists! From Monjé to Münter” which looks at 31 female artists who have been active in Düsseldorf between 1819 and 1919 – a period during which women were not allowed to study at the Dusseldorf Art Academy. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to chat and get to know each other over a coffee.

Der Künstler Hans-Peter Feldmann lenkt mit seinen Arbeiten den Blick auf das Alltägliche, das wir kaum mehr wahrnehmen.
Durch seine sachlichen Fotografien von Gegenständen werden wir automatisch zum Nachdenken darüber angeregt, wie selbstverständlich wir mit vielen Dingen umgehen, woher sie überhaupt kommen und wie wichtig oder auch unwichtig es ist diese zu haben.
Am 16.10. ist Weltbrottag! Ein passender Anlass gemeinsam mit Michael Gauert, Gründer der Bulle Bäckerei, durch die Ausstellung zu gehen. und im Gespräch mit einem passionierten Brotexperten den Schwerpunkt auf die Abbildungen der Graubrotscheiben zu legen.

Michael Gauert ist Bäckermeister und Gründer der Bulle Bäckerei, seit 8 Jahren in Flingern ansässig, inzwischen mit verschiedenen Konzepten in Düsseldorf umtriebig und großer Fan von wilden Fermentationen (auch abseits von Backwaren!). Seit über 20 Jahren ist er als Bäcker dem Handwerk stets treu geblieben. Seine Lieblingsaufgaben bei Bulle sind neben dem Verkauf vor allem auch die Ausrichtung von Sauerteigbackkursen, um interessierten Gruppen die Freude an Sauerteig zu vermitteln. Neben seiner Funktion als Bulle-Bäcker ist er Vater von drei Kindern, die ihm derzeit die beste Zeit auf Erden geben und keinen Hehl daraus machen, dass Toastbrot über sein persönliches Lieblingsbrot aus Roggenvollkornsauerteig geht.

Die Kuratorin führt Sie durch die Ausstellung Made in Düsseldorf #7 und erkundet mit Ihnen die verschiedenen Blickwinkel der künstlerischen Fotografie mit Werken von Erica Baum, Rita McBride, Bernd und Hilla Becher, Boris Becker, Tata Ronkholz und Katharina Sieverding. Im Gespräch mit Boris Becker wird ein besonderer Fokus auf die Arbeiten des Künstlers gelegt.

Wir laden Persönlichkeiten aus Düsseldorf und Umgebung ein, um ihren besonderen Blick auf die Sammlung des Kunstpalastes zu teilen. Im gemeinsamen Rundgang mit dem Künstler Simon Ertel werden ausgewählte Werke besprochen, Anekdoten geteilt und neue Perspektiven eröffnet.

Marcus Stahl ist Unternehmer, Vater von zwei Kindern und Gründer der Toniebox – einem Hörspielwürfel, der nicht nur in unzähligen Kinderzimmern, sondern auch im Kunstpalast mit der Rhino-Tour regelmäßig zum Einsatz kommt. Die Sammlung des Museums ist ihm gut bekannt, doch entdeckt er immer wieder Neues – dieses Mal im Dialog mit Simon Ertel beim Düsseldoppel.

The retrospective showcases Hans-Peter Feldmann’s artistic work. He himself made little distinction between art and everyday life. For him, art was like food, sport or sleep. No more, but also no less.
Let’s stroll through the rooms together, watch at an impressive shadow play, and ponder photographs of people and objects, a car lying on his roof and many other objects. Some of these are decades old – maybe there could also be found on your shelves?
If memories and stories are evoked, you are very much encouraged to share them. We look forward to the exchange and shared experience!
