There have always been women artists, but many of them have been forgotten. The exhibition presents 31 selected female artists who were active in Düsseldorf between 1819 and 1919. During this period women not admitted to the art academy. Nevertheless, some of them achieved prominence and fame during their lifetimes. Discover an important chapter of art history that has been overlooked for far too long on this guided tour. We will walk through the rooms together in a peaceful atmosphere and learn about the stories and artworks of the selected female artists. You can also share your own memories with us.
