The world of art is an enormous enrichment. At the same time, many people feel overwhelmed and intimidated by it. That ends now! Jakob Schwerdtfeger inspires with his very own perspective: What does Impressionism have to do with dog sweaters? Why does Cubism look like someone punched a mirror? And how did the Renaissance become the teacher’s pet among art epochs?
In his reading show, the stand-up comedian and art historian brings together countless masterpieces, insider tips, anecdotes, and art scandals, offering a contemporary and refreshing look at art history. This unique mix of entertainment and knowledge allows us to experience art in a completely new way. Schwerdtfeger digs up fun facts and explores why the Mona Lisa ended up in a pizza commercial and how one artist managed to trick Google Maps. This book makes you excited about art.
