A hundred years ago, the “ Große Ausstellung für Gesundheitspflege, soziale Fürsorge und Leibesübungen“ (GeSoLei) opened. The trade fair combined business, arts, and welfare and was also a mix of major sporting event and amusement parc. It was the biggest exhibition of the Weimar Republic, attracting 7.5 million visitors between May and October 1926. To this day, the Ehrenhof building complex, comprising of Tonhalle, Rheinterrasse, and Kunstpalast, defines the cityscape. Learn more about the GeSoLei at our Spot On exhibition.
