History of Glas

Please note: This tour will be held in German.

A date shaped flacon, window fragments of the cologne dome, and also a dress made out of glas: Discover the iridescent world of our glass collection. The mastership of this art can be experienced between fragility and durance, transparency and opacity, or old and new. Starting in 1500 BC and ending today, discover the material Glas anew.

In addition to the art-historical background, this special series focuses on mutual exchange and personal impressions. Sometimes all it takes is an artwork to start a conversation or bring back memories. Our experienced art educators guide you through works of art or artists in dialogue with the group. After the tour, we cordially invite you to continue the conversation in a cozy atmosphere over coffee and cake.

The price includes a slice of cake and a coffee, cappuccino, tea or soft drink of your choice.

The format is aimed at people who want to enrich their everyday lives with new encounters and are interested in art; no prior knowledge is required.
