Please Note: This tour will be given in German!

We cordially invite all interested teachers to the introduction of Niki de Saint Phalle. Dream Machine. Together, we will visit the exhibition and then present the programme for secondary schools. During the guided tour, you will gain insights into works spanning four decades of Niki de Saint Phalle’s (1930–2002) career. The French-American artist made her mark in a male-dominated art scene. In her work, she also explored themes such as power, anger and self-determination – from her ‘shooting pictures’, through habitable sculptures lined with mosaics, to the large, powerful-looking Nana sculptures. She translated emotions into art, reframed her female figures as strong and self-assured – in contrast to societal norms – and created entire fantasy worlds.

Please note: Due to limited space, registration is only open to teachers currently in service. Please bring the confirmation of registration to the event.
