We are excited about the long June evenings, pack our drawing materials and go outside. In fast sketches we capture the summer scene. The light of the setting sun reflects in the water of the fountain and under the buildings’ shades paly a few people boule. The Ehrenhof acts as an atmospheric stage, ready to draw.

Just start painting! This workshop offers an introduction to Modificationism. This is an artistic practice based on transforming pre-existing pictures through artistic interventions. Together we explore new readings and visual possibilities by editing and creating. Scribble, splatter, smear – This is an open space, inviting you to experiment with colours and materials.

Think about your childhood. How do you picture it? Is it playful, full of laughter or serious? The depiction of children in art history changed over the centuries: Since the Middle Ages they were shown like small adults. Today, however, childhood is distinct stage of characterized by experimentation, play, social interaction, and the emotions that go along with them. The art works bear witness to the societal change. Reflect on your own experiences as well and capture them in your drawings.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of fragrance layering! In this special workshop, we will first learn about the basic fragrance families and notes before becoming layering pros in a speed dating format: we will create new fragrance profiles using niche fragrances, molecular fragrances and individual notes. We will be given an introduction to the world of perfumes and valuable tips on how to build our own fragrance wardrobe and use it specifically for different moods and occasions.
Please do not wear any perfume to the workshop.
Melina Klinger studied art history and museum studies at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn. She wrote her thesis on olfactory art in the exhibition context and uses her fragrance archive to advise interested parties on fragrance wardrobes.
