The Scharf Collection ranges from 19th and 20th century French art to contemporary international works. Highlights include pieces by Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, Pierre Bonnard, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Katharina Grosse.
We draw on this diversity in our series of workshops for adults, taking inspiration from the exhibition. Once a month, we focus on a particular artistic technique or motif and get creative ourselves.
In July, the focus is on paper cutting, which artist Henri Matisse also called ‘drawing with scissors’. Inspired by this idea, we experiment with paper, paint and cutting in the workshop to create our own compositions.
