Felix Krämer (*1971) has held the position of Director General and artistic director of the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf since October 2017, as well as being Chairman of the Executive Board of Stiftung Museum Kunstpalast.

Felix Krämer (*1971) has held the position of Director General and artistic director of the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf since October 2017, as well as being Chairman of the Executive Board of Stiftung Museum Kunstpalast. Alongside the museum, the foundation also encompasses the Robert-Schumann-Saal, an outstanding concert hall with 800 seats, as well as, since early 2020, the exhibition venue NRW-Forum for photography, popular and digital culture. With its innovative programme on themes ranging from sports cars, photography, painting, fashion, sculpture, design and glass art, the Kunstpalast presents changing exhibitions for a wide audience and holds a collection comprising more than 100,000 objects.
Felix Krämer studied art history, classical archaeology and ethnology at Hamburg University, where he received a PhD in 2005. From 2004 to 2008 he held a number of positions at the Hamburger Kunsthalle, as well as being curator at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. From 2008 to 2017 he was responsible for the collection of Modern Art at the Städel Museum in Frankfurt am Main. Moreover, Krämer has curated extensive exhibitions in London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Melbourne. In 2013, he was awarded the title Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
