Jutta-Cuny-Franz-Award 2027
Requirements
Please read the participation conditions below carefully before completing the entry form, as it forms the basis of the contract between you and the Jutta Cuny-Franz Foundation.
- Glass artists aged up to 40 (in 2027) are invited to apply for the upcoming Jutta-Cuny-Franz-Award 2027.
The first prize is €10,000 and there are also two talent awards, each worth €1,500.
This award takes place every two years.
This award is an international call for artists who make significant use of glass in their work.
Online applications are free of charge and will be accepted from 1 June to 1 October 2026.
Artists may submit images of up to three recent works (made in 2025 or 2026) for the competition. Please provide the title of your work, the place and year of production, a short technical description, the size (weight is not required) and, with a maximum of 600 characters per work, any further information you consider important for a better understanding of your artwork.
Collaboration between several artists is permitted, provided that all of them meet the age limit. The submission must be made under the name of one artist. Information about collaborators must be entered in the pdf. The distribution of the prize money is the responsibility of the submitting artist.
Applications should, if possible, be written in English or German.
If necessary you will provide high-quality images in JPG format, resolution 300 dpi, as these may be used on the website, in publications and in promotional material.
You must hold the full rights for the use of the images you submit. Please name the respective rights holder (the photographer).
You accept that the images you submit may be published in print and/or online in connection with this competition and its results and may be passed on to press media for the same purpose will be stored digitally in the long term for the archive of the Glass Collection, Kunstpalast, Düsseldorf, without guarantee of future accessibility may be passed on from the aforementioned archive for research purposes.
We do not charge an application fee.
