You can buy your online ticket in our online shop. After your purchase you receive your ticket as a PDF file, which you may print out or present to our staff on your smartphone. If you have purchased several tickets, you receive an email with several separate PDF files attached.

Please check your spam folder in case you cannot locate the email with your tickets in your mailbox. If you have not received an email with your tickets attached, please send us a message via our  contact form, stating your name and booking reference.

You can print out your online ticket on any printer, or you may present it to our staff on your smartphone. If you wish to print out your online tickets, please print out each ticket separately to ensure a speedy admission.

The online ticket grants access on the day and at the time stated on your ticket. Once you have been admitted, the duration of your visit is not limited to a specific time.

Please note that online tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. It is not possible to change the date or entry time of online tickets or other timed tickets. Please refer to §6 para.5 of our general terms and conditions.

Online tickets are sent by email only, as PDF file attachments which you can print out or present to our staff on your smartphone.

Should there be a problem with your ticket order, such as missing PDF file attachments, please contact us via our contact form. We will assist you as quickly as possible.

The delivery time of catalogues within Germany is generally up to six working days. When placing an order, please take public holidays or busy periods (such as Christmas) into account.

Mail delivery of catalogues within Germany are free of charge.

There are no shipping costs within Germany.
Within the EU, the shipping costs are €12. Shipping outside the EU is not possible.

Participation in public guided tours, courses or workshops can be booked in our online shop.

Yes, please register your visit via the relevant section of the Kunstpalast website if you are coming with a group or school class – regardless of whether you have booked a guided tour or not. We will confirm your registration as soon as possible.

Information for wheelchair users

The building is fully accessible for wheelchair users. There is a lift to the left of the main entrance. Wheelchairs are also available. Parking spaces for wheelchair users are available in the courtyard of honour. Access is via Inselstr. Please report to the barrier using the bell.

The building is fully accessible for blind and visually impaired people without an accompanying person. There is a lift outside to the left of the main entrance. The staff are also trained and can help you. Guide dogs may be brought along.

There is a cloakroom in the second basement of the Kunstpalast. It can be used free of charge. In addition, there are lockers which operate on refundable 1 € coins. Please use these to store coats, rucksacks and bags (larger than A4 size) and other larger items.  

You can access audio content, as well as video and augmented reality features related to the collection, for free via the Kunstpalast app. For more information and to download the app, visit kunstpalast.de/en/app. If there is an audio guide available for the current exhibition, you will find the relevant information on the respective exhibition page.

You are welcome to take photographs in our exhibition halls for your own personal, non-commercial use. Should selected works be exempted from the permission, this will be indicated on site.

If you wish to film or take photographs for commercial purposes, please contact us in advance via the contact form.

Free WiFi is available by logging into the „HOTSPOT_Besucher*innen“.

For any items lost or left behind please contact our reception, where all lost property is kept. Unclaimed items are passed on to the city’s lost property office at some point. Our staff is happy to give you directions to get there. Alternatively, you may contact us via our contact form or by phone on +49 211 566 42 100.

Only guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted in the exhibition halls.

You can support us by joining the Friends of the Kunstpalast.

This may be possible subject to permission from the Kunstpalast. Please enquire via the contact form.

Would you like to book our concert hall (the Robert Schumann Saal) for an event? Please contact us.

Yes, civil weddings are possible at the Kunstpalast. In co-operation with the Düsseldorf registry office, we offer marriage ceremonies in the TEEKANNE Belvedere of the Kunstpalast on selected dates. Registration takes place directly via the registry office. Further information and dates can be found on our website at www.kunstpalast.de/de/trauungen.

Please address your enquiry to the Director General of the Kunstpalast in writing at least six months prior to the start of the respective exhibition project. Please note that a service fee will be charged for handling loan requests.
